PURPOSE:To increase information volume to be stored and to improve safety in the maintenance of a magnetic card by dividing a band to be recorded into at least tow bands or more. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic card is set up in a writing device, a control circuit 20 starts writing operation. Data applied to input terminals 12A-12D modulate respective carriers by modulators 13A-13D through respective amplifiers 11A-11D. The modulated waves are sent to writing heads 16a, 16b through BPFs 15A-15D and a synchronizing signal writing circuit 10. Consequently, a frequency band can be divided into plural sections and different information can be recorded in respective sections.
