PURPOSE:To miniaturize a V-type engine main body by arranging intake passages in a space between both the banks of the V-type engine, and pipes communicating with the intake passages around the one of the banks. CONSTITUTION:Pipe shaped intake passages 6, 7 communicating with banks 1, 2 are arranged in a space between both the banks 1, 2 of a V-type engine in the direction of a crankshaft. Pipes 6a, 7a communicating with intake passages 6, 7 respectively are arranged nearly around the one 2 of the banks 1, 2. An intake system having a long passage can be therefore compactly integrated into the V-type engine to miniaturize the engine.
