PURPOSE:To easily mount a surface wave element on a pedestal, by molding a cover integrally with a metallic plate provided with a protruding flat spring piece to a pedestal side and an insulating frame part, and pressing the back plane of the surface wave element with the flat spring piece. CONSTITUTION:The cover 10 is constituted by molding the frame part 11 made of resin and a sheet of metallic plate 12, 13, and 14 integrally, and furthermore, the flat spring piece 15 bent-processed is provided under the metallic plate 12, and when the cover 10 is joined on the pedestal, the flat spring piece 15 presses the back plane of the surface wave element. Since the flat spring piece 15 presses the back plane of the surface wave element 20, the surface wave element can be surely held between the pedestal, even when the solder of the connecting part of the terminal electrode of the surface wave element and the connecting terminal on the pedestal is welded at the time of mounting them on a circuit board, or mechanical shock is applied on the whole of a surface wave device.
