PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily release a boost compensator by reversibly rotating a boost pressure releasing lever shaft to separate one end of a boost lever from a fuel injection quantity control member by making the other end of the boost lever function as a supporting point for reversible rotation. CONSTITUTION:An engine is started with a boost compensator 40 being in a released state during low temperature to secure increase in fuel in starting the engine. In this case, a release lever 66 is reversibly rotated against a spring 80 to rotate a release lever shaft 43 in an arrow A direction for moving an eccentric shaft part 44 around a lever shaft center in the arrow A direction. A boost lever 45 thereby rotates in arrow B direction using its upper end pin 46 as a supporting point. Thus the lower end bent-up part 45 leaves the front end edge of a governer lever 7 forward to release the action of the boost compensator 40. In this release operation, the upper end pin 46 of the boost lever 45 functions as the supporting point to make the compressing of springs 56, 57 unnecessary, resulting in the easy release operation of the boost compensator.
