PURPOSE:To abate the operating failure of back pressure controlling actuator by installing a device, judging whether it is at time of nonshifting or not, and another device, performing forced driving control over the back pressure controlling actuator when the present point of time is judged to be at the nonshifting time. CONSTITUTION:First of all, whether it is at the time of nonshifting or not is judged, and when the present point of time is judged to be at time of nonshifting, a back pressure controlling actuator is forcedly driven and controlled. In consequence, since the actuator comes to be forcedly driven all the time when the nonshifting is the case, so that oil of an automatic transmission in and around the actuator can be properly heated and, what is more, a sliding surface between a plunger (or a spool) and a sleeve is always maintainable in a fittable state.
