PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant powder coating compound providing a coating film having excellent heat resistance, not producing problems of environmental pollution, by dissolving or dispersing a polycarbosilane resin, etc. and an inorganic filler into an organic solvent, evaporating the solvent and grinding the residual solid content. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. one or more of a polycarbosilane resin, polysilastyrene resin, polytitanocarbosilane resin, polysilazane resin and polyborosiloxane resin and preferably 5-500pts.wt. inorganic filler (e.g. aluminum) are dissolved or dispersed into an organic solvent (e.g. dimethylformamide), the organic solvent is evaporated by heating and the residual solid content is ground (preferably 3-50mum average particle diameter) to give a heat-resistant powder coating compound.
