PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in positioning electrodes set in blocks on a face plate by providing the respective blocks with first means for positioning them to each other, and further providing one of the blocks with second means in relation to the face plate. CONSTITUTION:In order to position electrode blocks 15A to 15N on a face plate 11 with high accuracy and ease, paired reference pins 16 are arranged on the face plate 11 keeping a specified positional relation with a phosphor, and thereby one of electrode blocks 15A to 15N is positioned, while other blocks are sequentially positioned and at the same time connected to each other by using reference pins 16 on the basis of the positioned block. In this manner the accuracy in positioning the respective blocks with respect to the fluorescent screen can be improved with the formation of paired reference pins on the face plate 11.
