PURPOSE:To manufacture an accurate coil bobbin by molding a ceramic material in a desired shape, sintering it, impregnating the obtained porous ceramics with resin, removing the resin present on the surface of the porous ceramics, and then hardening the porous resin. CONSTITUTION:Silicon carbide or the like is used as the material of porous ceramics, opening porosity is suitably selected, and baked substantially without shrinkage. In this case, a ceramic material is molded in a desired shape, porous material obtained by baking it is impregnated with heat resistant epoxy resin or the like. An unnecessary resin presented on the upper part is removed from the uppermost layer of the porous ceramics, and the thickness of the resin presented on the top is 1 mum. Then, the resin of the porous ceramics impregnated with the resin is hardened. Thus, a coil bobbin which has high electric insulation, excellent dimensional accuracy, lightweight and no thermal deformation even if a current flows to the coil is obtained.
