PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet stock having high thickness accuracy by using rolls attaining a true round section at a working temp. for plural rolling passes formed by combining many rolls. CONSTITUTION:A heated stock 6 is fed between rolls 1, 2 and is rolled to be thicker than a required thickness in a pass 4. In that time, the rolls 1, 2 are heated by heat of the stock 6, irregularity of the roundness and cylindricity of the roll 1 is generated and ruggedness occur on the rolled stock 6. The rugged stock 6 enters the lowermost pass 5 along the roll 2 and is rolled in the pass 5 by rolls 2, 3 attaining a true round section at a working temp. Hence, ruggedness are corrected, so that the stock 6 is formed into a sheet stock 8 having more thickness accuracy and the yield is improved.
