PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for storing additional information (such as name and department) relating to a calling party by providing a means displaying opposite information at the origination of abbreviated dial. CONSTITUTION:When an addition information read out requesting signal of a calling party if inputted to a central control unit 103 via a line control circuit 102 by an additional information read out request sending means 208 at the abbreviation dialing, the central control unit 103 uses a data base retrieving means 106 to read the corresponding additional information (name and department or the like) from a data base 105 and to send it to a multi-functional telephone set 200 via the line control circuit 102. The telephone set 200 stores the additional information to a part corresponding to a calling party number in a memory 203 via an exchange connection means 207 and a storage means 206. The the calling party number and additional information stored in the memory 203 are displayed on a display means 202.
