SUPERCONDUCTING MEMORY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To set the operating temp. of a superconducting memory as high as about the temp. of liquid nitrogen by preparing a thin superconducting film on a substrate and reading out memory contents by determination of 1 and 0 from whether a superconductor exists in a reading out site or not. CONSTITUTION:A photomask 1 which is formed with the patterns of light shielding parts 200 at 2mum length per piece of the patterns and 4mum intervals, shields light at the point corresponding to a bit '1' and allows the transmission of light at the point corresponding to a bit '0' is formed. A photoresist 2 and the thin superconducting film 3 are laminated on a substrate 4 and are subjected to pattern etching to form the resist patterns according to the contents of the memory on the surface of the thin superconducting film 3. The part where the superconducting microplane exists is read out as the bit '1' and the part where said plane does not exist is read out as the bit '0' when this track runs right under a head. The superconducting memory which can be operated at the temp. as high as about the temp. of the liquid nitrogen is thus produced.
