PURPOSE:To prevent data from being destroyed due to the re-construction of an ADF controlled data set, by forming the key information of a data set managing record with a record key and a variable for distributing the record key, and directly storing the ADF data set in an access memory device setting the variable as a key. CONSTITUTION:The key information of the data set managing record of the ADF (Automatic Data Set Migration) controlled data set is formed with the record key and the variable for distributing the record key, and the ADF controlled data set is directly stored in the access memory device 10 in a data set format in sequence of key setting the variable as the key. Thus, by adding the variable on the key information of the data set managing DSM record, it is possible to efficiently distribute the record key (name of data set) of the DSM record in an ADF controlled data set area 11. In such a way, it is possible to reduce frequency to remarkably generate the shortage of a space by effectively using the ADF controlled data set area, and to prevent the data from being destroyed due to the re-construction of the ADF controlled data set.
