PURPOSE:To enable free communication between terminal equipments and to reduce the throughput of the central processor in an exchange by increasing the number of parallel bits of each channel of a channel equipment. CONSTITUTION:Subscriber circuits 100 and 200 consist of office-side terminating circuits 12 and 22 (circuits constituting U interfaces of ISDN) and D channel (signal channel) processors 13 and 23 (circuits processing the protocol of the D channels after reception), and has a means which connects the information of the D channels to a channel side in a multiple way with the D channel processors 13 and 23. Thus, pieces of information of not only a B channel (information channel), but also the D channel are sent to a channel 300. The channel 300 can pass an (8+2)-bit parallel signal for the switching of the 64 kb/s B channel and 16 kb/s D channel together. Consequently, ISDN terminals 10 and 20 can have a direct communication through the channel when connected mutually.
