PURPOSE:To prevent the operation disorder of a fuel injection valve after the top for a long period of an engine by allowing a valve drive device to open the injection valve for a certain time or more from the time of engine stop and installing a feeding passage opening/closing means into a fuel feeding passage and installing a return passage opening/closing means and a return device into the fuel return passage. CONSTITUTION:When an engine stops operation, a feeding passage opening/ closing means 5 closes a fuel feeding passage 2, and the fuel feed to a fuel injector 3 is suspended, and a fuel return passage 6 is opened by a return passage opening/closing means 7, and an injection valve 10 is opened for a certain time or more from the time of the engine stop by a valve driving device 11. Therefore, an intake passage is allowed to communicate to a fuel tank 1 through the fuel injector 3 and the fuel return passage 6, and a fuel return device 8 is operated, and the fuel in the fuel injector 3 is returned into the fuel tank 1. Therefore, no fuel is stored in the fuel injector 3 on engine stop, and the deterioration of the fuel in the fuel injector 3 and the mixing of foreign material are prevented, and the generation of the working disorder of the fuel injection valve after the stop for a long period of the engine is prevented.
