ZOOM LENS DRIVING DEVICE FOR CAMERA

PURPOSE:To enable operation of a zoom lens with manual driving by adopting the constitution in which the transmission of the rotation between a zoom motor and cam ring is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:The cam ring 1 is so constituted that said ring can be rotated by the manual driving and by a motor. Zooming is executed when the cam ring 1 rotates. A joint body 4 is moved toward a transmission gear 9 by the energizing force of a spring 6 and an engaging projection 4c of the joint body 4 abuts against the end face 9b of the gear 9 when a change member 10 is first rotated in an arrow direction. The joint body 4 is rotated upon rotating of the zoom motor 2 in this state. The projection 4c is fitted into the fitting hole 9a of the gear 9 by the energizing force of the spring 6 when said projection faces the direction where the projection is to be fitted into said hole. The rotation of the motor 2 is thereby transmitted via the gear 9 to the cam ring 1 and the zoom driving by the motor is executed. The manual rotation of the cam ring 1 is possible if the member 10 is operated in the direction opposite to the arrow A to disconnect the joint body 4 from the gear 9 and the operating part 8 is turned by hand.
