PURPOSE:To enable a leakage portion to be promptly and accurately detected by providing image fiberscops in a main duct and making the image fiberscopes monitor the wall of the main duct. CONSTITUTION:Image fiberscopes 4 are provided in a main duct 2 and normally monitor the wall of the main duct 2, namely, the wall of at least one of the main duct 2 and wind legs 3. Further, an interface 5 is provided for selecting and changing over a signal from the fiberscopes 4. A signal from the interface 5 is inputted to an image processing unit 6 and a light emitter 9 and a hole 8 are discriminated from each other, a result being recognized by a display unit 7, such as a CRT. In an image processing and a discrimination thus conducted, the unit 6 samples two images at prescribed time intervals and compares them with each other. When a leakage portion is detected by the unit 6, an alarm unit emits an alarm to inform an operator of the presence of the leaked portion. When the alarm is emitted, the operator can confirm the leakage portion on the CRT 7 even during an operation.
