PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of mechanical stress at the end section of a slot of a coil even when an insulator is deteriorated with time by forming a gap between the base of the slot and a coil. CONSTITUTION:Coils 3, 4 ate mounted into a slot 2 for a core 1, and the end sections of the coils are supported by an insulating member 6 set up onto the outside diameter surface of a support member 5. A binding wire or a retaining ring 7 is fitted in order to prevent displacement in the outside diameter direction of the coils by centrifugal force. A gap 8 is formed between the base of the slot 2 and the coils 3, 4 at that time. Accordingly, even when compressive displacement is generated with the secular deterioration of insulations under the coils of coil end sections by the clamping pressure of the binding wire or the retaining ring, the coils and the base of the slot are not brought into contact, thus preventing the generation of mechanical stress at the slot ends of the coils.
