PURPOSE:To obtain optical recording parts which are small in size, light in weight and highly reliable by providing an optical shutter array to the side face of a bar-shaped light guide and providing a light source to one end face of the light guide. CONSTITUTION:A light guide body 3 is formed of plastic or glass and a so-called liquid crystal shutter array for which the electric field responsiveness of liquid crystal molecules is usually utilized in used for the optical shutter array 4. The light source 6 is provided to one end face 5 of the light guide body 3. For example, an LED, a semiconductor laser, etc., are usable for the light source 6. The reduction of the size and weight is thereby enabled and since the reliability is high, the higher performance of an electrophotographic recording system is obtd.
