PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight panel having improved and stabilized quality, by kneading a raw material to form a homogeneous slurry and specifying the rate of temperature increase in an autoclave curing process in the production of a panel from a raw material having a specific composition using a mix foam process. CONSTITUTION:A foam slurry is prepared by a mix foam process using a raw material composed of 50-80wt.% of siliceous fine powder having an SiO2 content of >=50wt.%, 0.1-30wt.% of quick lime or slaked lime, 5-45wt.% of cement or slag and, as necessary, 0.1-5wt.% of gypsum. The slurry is poured into a mold frame and the obtained formed article is cured in an autoclave. In the above process, the raw material is thoroughly mixed with a ball-type dispersing apparatus beforehand and a foam slurry is prepared by mix foam process and heated to a prescribed temperature at a heating rate of >=75 deg.C/H in the autoclave curing process to obtain the objective light-weight panel.
