PURPOSE:To reduce a hardware scale and to realize the detailed debug designation by using a memory which stores an error check code obtained in a normal working state as a memory which stores the debug instruction codes corresponding to each program instruction in a debug working state. CONSTITUTION:An error check code obtained in a normal working state is switched with a debug instruction code obtained in a debug working state and stored in an error check code memory means 2 by a switch means 3. The means 3 also functions to inhibit the error checking action of a program in the normal working time. A trace control means 4 traces the program in a debug working state based on the debug instruction code stored previously in the means 2. Therefore the trace control can be performed in a debug state by means of a memory which is originally used to store the error check code. As a result, the increase of the hardware quantity is minimized and at the same time the detailed debug designation is possible to each program step.
