PURPOSE:To preclude trouble due to an air bubble and to improve flaw detection accuracy by confining the air bubble in a probe which uses a water bag to a position off the traveling path of an ultrasonic wave beam by providing guide plates. CONSTITUTION:The probe is installed so that an elastic body 7 which is brought into contact with a case 1 is pressed against a body 8 to be inspected; and the probe detects a flaw in the object body 8 with an ultrasonic signal sent by a transducer 2. The guide plates 5 and 6 are in a trumpet shape, the narrow end part of the guide plate 5 is fixed outside a metallic fixture 9 for fixing the transducer 2, and the wide end part does not contact the inside of the case 1. The wise end part of the guide plate 6 is fixed to the inside of the case 1 and the narrow end part is fitted covering the transducer 2 without contacting the transducer. Consequently, even if the probe changes in attitude, the air bubble in the case 1 can be confined to a position distant from the transducer 12.
