PURPOSE:To prevent a damage from the external force owing to the contact with other substances by covering the outer periphery of a superconductive linear body in which a superconductive material is filled or which has plural grooves or recesses, with a conductive pipe. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive wire has a superconductive linear body in which a superconductive material 2 is attached to grooves of a linear body 1 with grooves, which consists of a metallic material, a ceramics, or the like, as a basic structure, and moreover, the outer periphery of the superconductive linear body is covered with a conductor pipe 3 to form the superconductive wire. Since the stress generated between layers is sustained by the projections forming the grooves, even though the superconductive wires made in such a way are superposed and wound plurally on a bobbin, the damage of the superconductive material can be prevented.
