PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption of an exhaust fan, by automatically controlling the rate of gas flow down into a dust collector in response to the fuel consumption rate of a combustion furnace. CONSTITUTION:After a discharge duct 2 connected to a discharge gas outlet of a combustion furnace 1, there is provided in series an air mixing port 3, air cooling unit 4, a dust collector 5, and an exhaust fan 6. Opening of a main damper 12 is adapted to be regulated by means of a regulator 15 which operates on signals sent from a flow sensor 14 provided in a coil supply pipe 13 connected to the combustion furnace 1, whereby the quantity of gases sucked into the dust collector 5 is automatically controlled according to the coil consumption at the furnace 1. Further, a temperature sensor 8 is provided in an intermediate duct 2a to regulate the opening of a cool air damper 10 based on its signals, thus preventing exhaust gas temperature from falling down below predetermined temperatures.
