PURPOSE:To suppress an error trigger or the like, by working a second switching element, after gate signal for turning a first switching element ON with the discharge of a second capacitor in an oscillation continuing circuit is generated. CONSTITUTION:The power circuit 5 of an inverter device is provided with a diode bridge circuit 3 and a smoothing capacitor 4 for rectifying a commercial AC power source 1 via a choke coil 2. Into a space between the terminals T1, T2, a series circuit consisting of a choke coil 6, a thyristor 7 as a first switching element, and a first capacitor 8 is inserted, and an oscillation circuit is composed of the capacitor 8 and the primary winding P of a transformer 9 set in parallel with the capacitor 8, and to a secondary winding S, a load 24 is connected. Besides, the output of a feedback winding S0 is connected to the thyristor 7 and a transistor 19 as a second switching element. When the storage electric charge quantity of a second capacitor 18 comes to a specified value or more, then the generation or the like of gate current signal is performed.
