PURPOSE:To permit the control of a plurality of indoor machine units and simplify the structure of an air conditioner, by a method wherein communicating condition is switched between the communicating opening of the rotary part of a liquid distributing means, interposed between a liquid transporting system and the indoor machine unit, and a plurality of ports of a casing. CONSTITUTION:A fluid distributing means 5 is provided with a rotary part 15, communicating with a liquid transporting system, a casing 16, supporting the rotary part 15, and a rotation driving source 17 for controlling the rotating position of the rotary part 15 while a plurality of ports 18 with circumferential intervals are arranged at the opposing part of the rotary part 15 and respective ports 18 are made to communicate with a plurality of indoor units respectively. Accordingly, simultaneous distribution, in which the communicating number of a communicating opening 21 and respective ports in the casing 16 is changed or the combination between the communicating opening 21 is changed, is permitted by the rotating position of the rotary part 15 whereby a condition in which 6 sets or less of indoor machine units are connected to the liquid transporting system may be set arbitrarily by the selection of communicating condition.
