The multiposition hatch cover, e.g. for sailing or motor yachts, has a number, e.g. eight equi-spaced stop rollers, concentric around the hinge spindle, cooperating with equi-spaced recesses in the facing hinge section. Hatch cover multi-position hinge mechanism, includes centre part (5) fixed to the hatch. A second hinge part includes lateral flanges (6) connected to the boat deck. Inner surface of centre part (5) has a number of equi-spaced stop recesses, concentric around hinge spindle (7). Through the spaces between centre part (5) and flanges (6) is inserted a number of rubber rollers (10) which cooperate with recesses (8) to act as stops.
