PURPOSE:To obtain a shrinkable film which can shrink with cold water, exhibits excellent stretchability and formability into a film, excels in gas barrier property and is suited for preserving raw meat etc., by mixing a specified polyamide resin with a specified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate. CONSTITUTION:A shrinkable film comprising a resin composition of 60-90wt.% polyamide resin (A) of a crystalline m.p. of 120-210 deg.C and a recrystallization temperature >=50 deg.C (e.g., nylon 6-66, nylon 6-12 or their mixture) and 40-10wt.% ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate (B) of a crystalline m.p. of 120-200 deg.C and a degree of saponification >=95%, having an apparent initial softening temperature >=30 deg.C and an apparent initial softening temperature of a film after adsorption of water <=10 deg.C. Because of the incorporation of components A and B, this film can shrink at a low temperature, excels in stretchability and formability into a film, shows excellent gas barrier property and can be desirably used as a packaging material for long-term preservation of foods such as raw meat and processed meat products. |
