SAVE/RESTORE SYSTEM FOR STORED INFORMATION IN VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To save and hold required stored data by providing a second battery backup type storage means as the data storage means and saving stored information in a prescribed area of a main storage means to a second storage means at the time of stopping an engine. CONSTITUTION:Since stored information in the prescribed area of a main storage means 6 is saved to the second storage means 5 at the time of stopping the engine, stored information in the prescribed storage area is continuously held even if the engine is repeatedly stopped/started. Consequently, the engine is started in the state of preceding stop at the next time of start. A navigation system is adopted, and thereby, navigation is continued up to the destination of a selected course even if an ignition key 2 is turned off or the engine is stopped halfway.
