发明名称 FOCUS DETECTING DEVICE FOR CAMERA
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve reliability of interpolating operations and to precisely detect a focus by providing a means which interpolates and operates parts with the highest correlation based on auto-correlation data on two picture signal strings and based on the minimum value and its subsequent small value of comparison data. CONSTITUTION:First and 2nd images formed of fluxes of an object which have passed by the 1st and 2nd parts of a photographing lens, are converted into picture signals. Based on the comparison data on the picture signals, a correlation detection means 30 detects two picture signal strings with the highest correlation degree. An interpolating and operating means 40 interpolates and operates a part with the highest correlation degree based on two pieces of auto-correlation data on the two picture signal strings and also based on the minimum value and its subsequent small value of the comparison data. In response to the arithmetic value, a defocus amount arithmetic means 50 detects the focus position of the photographing lens. Thus the reliability of interpolating operations is improved and a focus can be detected precisely.
