PURPOSE:To execute a suitable focusing action by executing detection for constant quantity with an object image change detecting means and selecting the passing characteristic of a gate circuit to specify a distance measuring area. CONSTITUTION:By the detecting signal of an object image change detecting circuit 30, the passing area of a gate circuit 14 is changed. When the change of an object image is small, a small distance measuring area 52 is selected. When the change is large, a large distance measuring area 54 is selected. Thus, even when the object image moves on a light receiving surface, the focusing action can be suitably executed to the said object. |
