PURPOSE:To form the clear cyan image of the titled material by incorporating a specified pyrazoloimidazole type cyan coupler in a red photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The pyrazoloimidazole type cyan coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in at least one layer of the red photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each a group capable of binding with a hydrogen atom., Y and R<3> are each hydrogen atom. or a substituting agent, X is hydrogen atom. or a group capable of releasing by reacting with the oxidant of a color developing main agent. The concrete example of said coupler is exemplified by a compd. shown by formula III. Accordingly, as said pyrazoloimidazole type cyan coupler is incorporated in the red photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the titled material having the excellent spectral absorption characteristics and capable of forming a clear cyan image is obtd., thereby forming a stable image against a heat and a humidity. |
