摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the refractive index and absorbance of a liquid at the same time by providing at least two optical measurement part each consisting of a light source, a light receiving element, and an optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION:Two optical waveguides 2 and 2 are immersed in the liquid 4 to be measured, light sources 1 and 1 are arranged at their one-terminal sides while light receiving elements 3 and 3 are arranged at the other-terminal sides, and the output terminals of the light receiving elements 3 and 3 are connected to an arithmetic processing storage device 6. The wavelengths of light beams emitted by the light sources 1 and 1 are set to different values A and B. The output and refractive index of a optical waveguide of the wavelength A are in prescribed relation and the relation between the output and absorptivity of a waveguide of the wavelength B varies with the wavelength. The output levels of the wavelengths detected by the two light receiving elements 3 and 3 are processed by an arithmetic unit 6 to measure the refractive index and absorptivity of the object liquid 4.
