In order to differentiate sets of pétanque bowls belonging to different players from one another, so that each player can recognise the bowls with which he is playing on the green, the same marking is produced on all the bowls of the set in question using, in order to constitute each marked bowl 7 of the set in question, at least two materials having similar hardnesses but substantially different colours so that, on the surface of each marked bowl 7, there appear at least two different colour ranges, the said materials being chosen from those which are generally used for constituting pétanque bowls (stainless steels, medium-hard steels) and those of similar hardness (aluminium bronze, brass and nickel). The type of marking is varied between the various sets of bowls by varying the relative position and/or the relationship of the surfaces and/or of the colours of the different ranges of colours appearing on each bowl 7 in one and the same set. <IMAGE> |
