PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which prevents generation of a trouble in means for forming and binding pull rings by the constitution in which the preforms of the pull rings are expelled from means for supplying the preforms when the absence of the vessel cap under conveyance is detected in a region for monitoring the means for supplying the vessel cap. CONSTITUTION:This device forms a vessel cap with a pull ring by receiving a preform 46 of the pull ring formed by curving a rectangular strip piece sheared from a thin metallic sheet by a means 10 for forming the preform to a cylindrical annular shape in holding regions A, B by a means 12 for supplying the preform, transferring further the same to a means 16 for forming and binding the pull ring in a region C for receiving the preform and binding and forming the preform to a vessel cap 38 supplied from a means 14 for supplying the vessel cap in said region. The presence or absence of the cap 38 in a block 36 for accepting the vessel cap from the means 14 is detected by a monitor unit 24 consisting of a light projecting element 32 and a photodetector 34 and if there is no cap 38 under conveyance, an air injecting nozzle 42 is actuated in an expelling region M by a control device (not shown in figure) to expel the preform 46 held by the magnetic force of a holder 40 into a collecting duct 44. |
