PURPOSE:To ensure the safety and high-speed property, etc. of a rolling stock at the time of traveling on a curve by steering wheels so as to make the rolling direction of the wheels to conform with the tangential direction of a curve at the time of traveling on the curve of the rolling stock. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling stock 15, e.g., in a two-axis vehicle having no bogie frame or in a one-bogie vehicle 20, axle boxes are moved forward and rearward by moving devices to steer wheels so as to conform with the tangential direction 27 of a curve with the center portions 21, 26 of axles as centers. For example, when a train is advancing leftward 25 and passing through a leftward curve, an axle box 5 is pushed forward by a cylinder 1 and an axle box 6 is pulled rearward by a cylinder 2, while an axle box 7 is pushed rearward by a cylinder 3 and an axle box 8 is pulled forward by a cylinder 4. These cylinders 1-4 are controlled by a control device in accordance with the operating condition of the rolling stock. Thereby, the safety and the high-speed property at the time of traveling on a curve can be ensured. |
