PURPOSE:To surely obtain a desirable image by providing the positioning means of an image forming unit for an electrophotographic device main body in an optical means which is attachably/detachably mounted in the electrophotographic device main body. CONSTITUTION:A notching 1b which extends in the longitudinal direction of a photosensitive body 2 is formed above the photosensitive body 2 in the inner side of a front cabinet 1a of a copying machine main body 1 and a light converging optical transmitting body 4 can be made to be mounted to and taken out from the main body 1 along the notching 1b in a state where the cabinet 1a is open. The magnification of the optical transmitting body 4 is usually constant. Then, in case of varying the copying magnification, the optical transmitting body 4 should be replaced with another one with different magnification. A pair of front and rear positioning pins 4a and 4b corresponding to holes 1c and 1d for positioning formed in the main body 1 and a pair of front and rear positioning pins 4c and 4d as a positioning means corresponding to holes 15a and 15b for positioning formed in a 1st image form unit 15 are provided in the optical transmitting body 4. Thus, positioning can be surely performed and the desirable image can be formed.
