URINE ABSORBENT PAD

A disposable urine trap in the form of a foldable pad that envelops the male genitalia and closes around the organ to form a barrier that prevents urine from escaping the trap. The pad includes an asymmetric pair of wings that are separated by a gap and attached to the main body of the pad. The first wing is preferably trapezoidal and a second wing having an extending distal edge.

1. A urine trap for a male, comprising:
an inner fluid transmissive layer, an absorbent layer, and a fluid impermeable layer cooperating to form a pad, the pad including: a main absorbent region formed on a first side with a main region registration edge and the first and second wings projecting from a second side opposite the first side to cooperate in defining a gap; the first wing having a trapezoidal shape having an outer side edge, an inner side edge, and a distal edge, the inner side edge having a triangular cut-out therealong, the outer side edge and the distal edge cooperating to form an obtuse angle α that is substantially 105° and the inner side edge and the distal edge forming an angle β that is substantially 90°; and the second wing having an outer side edge, an inner side edge, and a distal edge, the inner side edge substantially parallel to the inner side edge of the first wing, the outer side edge and the distal edge cooperating to form an angle ν that is substantially 90° and the inner side edge and the distal edge cooperating to form an angle θ that is substantially 135°, the second wing extending distally beyond the extended plane of the distal edge of the first wing; whereby the first wing may be folded on the main region to register the distal edges with the main region's edge.
