PURPOSE:To obtain a rapid and accurate rangefinding function by setting a photographic lens in a specified lens set position when a photoelectric output is obtained from a photodetector for a short distance warning. CONSTITUTION:An AF control circuit 21 and an AF table 28 to which the set position of the photographic lens 10 is let to correspond every rangefinding data inputted from the AF control circuit 21 are connected to a microcomputer 22. When the photoelectric output is obtained from the photodetector S6 for the short distance warning at the time of measuring the distance of i-th rangefinding zone, the photographic lens 10 is set on the specified lens set position set at the time of measuring the distance of the (i-1)-th rangefinding zone, for example, the lens set position which is the farthest in the (i-1)-th rangefinding zone. Thus, it can be prevented that rangefinding is disenabled or rangefinding is uselessly repeated. |
