PURPOSE:To obtain the direct positive image having high sensitivity, high max. and low min. optical density by incorporating at least one kind of a specified compd. in the photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:In the silver halide photographic sensitive material comprising at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer mounted on a supporting body, at least one kind of the compd. shown by formula I is incorporated in the photographic sensitive material. In formula I, Z is a nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring, R<1> is an aliphatic group, R<2> is hydrogen atom, an aliphatic or an aromatic group. And, at least one of R<1>, R<2> and Z groups is alkinyl group, Y is an electric charge balancing pair ion, (n) is a number necessary for balancing an electric charge. Thus, the sufficient parity (the high sensitivity, and the high max. and the low min. optical density) of the sensitive material is obtd. even in case of processing the material with a developer having a relatively low pH. The change of the photographic characteristics of the sensitive material such as the reduction of the max. optical density and the increasement of the min. optical density is lessened even at high temp. and/or high humidity aging. |
