PURPOSE: To prevent a user or an obstacle from directly touching a rotary blade by enlarging the diameter of a protector rather than the outer diameter of the rotary blade. CONSTITUTION: A rotary blade 3 is fitted at one end of a hollow stem 2 through which a motive force transmission shaft is inserted, a disk-shaped protector 6 is disposed just under this blade 3 of a mower having an internal combustion engine at the other end, the protector 6 has the diameter larger than the outer diameter of the blade 3, and plural recessed slits 7 are formed around its peripheral edge part. This slit 7 is provided with an inner edge 8 as a slit bottom face and is positioned inside the outer periphery of the blade 3 away from the center of the protector 6 for a prescribed distance along a diameter direction. |
