PURPOSE:To stably obtain the title cast-coated paper useful for printing, having no joining variability, no pinhole-like spot and no gloss unevenness, by specifying pressurizing condition, surface hardness and surface roughness of press roll in specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:Raw paper is equipped with a coating layer consisting essentially of pigment and adhesive, brought into contact with a a drum of specular surface heated to >=90 deg.C to carry out high gloss finish. In the operation, pressurizing condition of press roll is regulated in 80-350kg/cm (linear pressure), surface hardness to a value of JIS A type based on JIS K-6301 at 20 deg.C of >=70 and surface roughness to Rmax based on JIS K-6301 of <=10mum to give the aimed cast-coated paper. |
