The polyester film having good electrical insulation property, heat resistancy and transparency is prepd. by adding zirconium silicate and tricralyl phosphate. Thus, dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol with 0.15 mol.% calcium acetate are esterified. The ester is condensation-polymerized with 0.36 wt.% talc, 0.009 wt.% zirconium silicate, 0.1 mol.% trimethyl phosphate and 0.006 wt.% tricresyl phosphate at the end of the sterification.
