Adjustable ceiling support (1) for medical spaces, particularly operating theatres. An upper supporting arm (7) is articulated on a ceiling attachment part (2) via a swivel connecting part (3), and a lower supporting arm (12) is articulated on the upper supporting arm (7) via a swivel connecting part (8), so that substantially free adjustability of an equipment support (13) is guaranteed. A generally less complex construction than in previous ceiling supports of this type, combined with at least equally good adjustablity, is achieved in that a running rail (14) surrounding the swivel axis of the first swivel connecting part (3) in a circular manner and attachable to the ceiling is provided. A rail runner (15) runs in this running rail and is connected via a suspension (16) to the second swivel connecting part (8), and thus absorbs bending moments which act about an axis extending parallel to the ceiling and perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the upper supporting arm (7). <IMAGE> |
