PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PURE HYDRATES OF FLUORAL AND OF HEMIACETALS

A process for the preparation of pure hydrates of fluoral and hexa- fluoroacetone comprises reacting pure methyl or ethyl hemiacetal of formula (I) [R=H or CF3 with water at 95-115≰C under the atmospheric pressure in the distillation column, distilling the produced methanol or ethanol at the top of the column, and recovering the pure hydrates of fluoral [R=H or hexa -fluoroacetone [R=CF3 at the bottom of the column.
