PURPOSE:To prevent the defocus of a moving body by deciding whether an object is moving or not before focusing, when it is not decided to be a moving body, but to be focused, again deciding whether the object is moving or not. CONSTITUTION:Whenever a focal point detection means 1 detects a focal point, a focusing deciding means 3 decides focusing based on a signal DF indicating a focused state. If the focusing deciding means 3 decides defocus, a lens driving means 2 drives a lens toward a focusing position based on the signal DF indicating the defocus quantity and its direction. If the object moves slowly, it is not decided to be a moving body by a 1st moving body deciding means 4, but decided to be focused by the focusing deciding means 3. In such a case, a 2nd moving body deciding means 5 operates to decide even a slow object surely, however, it takes longer time to decide. As a result, the title camera can cope with a slow or quick moving body. |
