摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for treating ophthalmic diseases containing an agent in microcapsules consisting of a biodegradable polymer, liposome, etc., capable of being introduced into an eye chamber and able to release at such a speed that it gives effective dose of the agent for a long period. CONSTITUTION: This is a transplanting material containing an ophthalmic disease-treating agent in microcapsules, capable of slowly releasing the agent for a long period when it is introduced into an eye chamber, able to treat the state, disease and disorder of an eye and having an average particle diameter of 10-250μm. The microcapsules are composed of a biodegradable polymer or liposome. As the biodegradable polymer, a polymer of a hydroxyl aliphatic carboxylic acid (e.g. a polymer of D-lactic acid, L-lactic acid, glycolic acid, etc.) or a polysaccharide (e.g. calcium alginate or carboxymethyl cellulose ester) is preferable. The liposome preferably has 10-50 mol% steroid, and the balance is an aliphatic acid, an organic acid ester and an inorganic acid ester.
