PURPOSE:To prevent the rise in cost and to improve accuracy in focus detection under auxiliary light when the auxiliary light is used by providing a corrected value calculating means calculating corrected values based on information from a photoelectric converting means and information from the photoelectric converting means under only external light, outputting the corrected values to a calculating means and using them for focus state detecting calculation. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch is operated, feeding a microcomputer PRS is started and the microcomputer PRS starts carrying out sequence programs stored in a ROM. When the subroutine of correcting calculation is called, corrected quantity X is obtained by setting a corrected value under external light as A and a corrected value under the auxiliary light, B, using an accumulating time and the peak of an image signal and interiorly dividing the gap between the corrected values A and B. Thus, the corrected values are calculated that are used for focusing state detecting calculation, whereby the rise in cost can be prevented and accuracy in focus detection under the auxiliary light can be improved. |
