INDUCTION SYSTEM FOR V-TYPE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

The induction system has two banks of cylinders respectively shifted with respect to each other in the direction of the alignment of the cylinders. Intake ports are provided to face the space between the two banks and a surge tank leads intake air to each intake port. Intake passages are curvedly formed for feeding intake air from the surge tank to the cylinders of each bank and consist of upstream and downstream passages. The passages for each bank are connected at different levels to the surge tank. The induction system is capable of reducing height and size.
