NEW MATERIAL:Mycinamicins selected from the group of mycinamicin VIII of formula I, mycinamicin XII of formula II, mycinamicin XIII or formula III, mycinamicin XIV of formula IV and mycinamicin XV of formula V or salts thereof. USE:A remedy for human and animal infections diseases having excellent antimicrobial activity comparable to that of mycinamicin II. PREPARATION:A microorganism [e.g. Micromonospora griseorubida A11725 (FERM BP-705)], belonging to the genus Micromonospora and capable of producing mycinamicins is cultured, preferably at 26-30 deg.C. |
