PURPOSE:To obtain a reinforced rubber composition excellent in reinforcing effect, hysteresis characteristics, etc., and suitable for automotive belts, hoses, boots, gaskets, packings, etc., by mixing a rubber with a polytetrafluoroethylene resin. CONSTITUTION:100 pts. wt. vulcanizable rubber such as a natural rubber or a synthetic rubber (e.g., chloroprene) is mixed with 1-50 pts.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and the mixture is kneaded by a means for generating a compressive shear, for example, a mixing roll, a Banbury mixer or an extruder having a kneading action to obtain a reinforced rubber composition. |
